Recycling services available:

Medicine blister recycling scheme is available at Superdrug pharmacy's We've teamed up with brands Benadryl, Buscopan, Calpol, Nurofen, Imodium, Nicorette, Optrex, BuscoMint, Dulcolax, Sudafed and Allevia to include collection boxes in every Superdrug Pharmacy, so you can recycle your empty medicine blister packets.

To ensure the scheme runs safely:

Do:

Return waste to Superdrug pharmacy stores

Only return personal and household waste

Only return empty blister packs

Don't:

Return waste to non-pharmacy stores

Make bulk drop offs

Return blisters containing medication

Return medicine packaging including bottles and aerosols

Return cardboard packaging


WEEE recycling

At Superdrug we comply with the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations, this means we offer a takeback service of electrical equipment in all of our stores – this applies to like for like items e.g. if you buy a new electric toothbrush from us, we will recycle your old one for free. You can exchange at the time of purchase or within 28 days of purchase of your new item as long as you have your receipt. Electronic and electrical equipment are now marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol as a reminder that these items can now be recycled.

All Superdrug stores have a battery collection point. Drop your used batteries at your nearest store and we will recycle them for you.
